JACKS in Ireland: Electric Picnic
It’s safe to say that Electric Picnic is Ireland’s biggest festival. So it’s only right we include it in the JACKS in Ireland series.

Ireland’s largest festival began back in 2004 and never looked back. Based in Stradbally, Co. Laois, Electric Picnic produces mouth-watering line-ups consistently. With stages and camping mixed in with the woodlands, it’s one of the more eye-catching festivals around.
Electric Picnic has a tendency to bring the biggest names in music to Stradbally, with Arctic Monkeys, Björk, New Order and Outkast all performing at the festival over the years. Last year, the sold-out weekend saw The Chemical Brothers, LCD Soundsystem and Lana Del Rey headline.
This year, Electric Picnic returned with another stellar line-up announcing just a couple of weeks ago that Massive Attack, N.E.R.D and the phenomenal Kendrick Lamar will be topping the bill.
Keeping the line-up diverse and making sure there’s something for everyone, Dua Lipa, Wolf Alice, Ben Howard, Mount Kimbie and George Ezra will all be performing across the August Bank Holiday Weekend.
Giving festival-goers a unique experience, they can take a dip in the lake on site, try some of the unique food stalls, check out the comedy on offer and more.
There’s still more to be added to the line-up but unfortunately if you haven’t already got your ticket, then you’re out of luck. Almost instantly after going on sale, all tickets for Electric Picnic sold out.
Check out the line-up so far:
Taking place from August 31st to September 2nd, it’s the perfect way to see out summer 2018.
