JACKS in Ireland turns it’s attention to the north-west coast where Sea Sessions takes place in Bundoran, Co. Donegal.
Celebrating their 10th birthday, Sea Sessions are looking to have their best year yet. Grime icon Dizzee Rascal, will be headlining the opening night while Walking on Cars will bring the second night to a close. Rudimental will be closing out Sea Sessions birthday bash with their drum ‘n’ bass that’s made them one of the biggest acts in the world.
Also coming to Bundoran are The Blizzards, The Hot Sprockets and Hudson Taylor will be showcasing Ireland’s music scene alongside Walking on Cars. Sea Sessions will also see UK indie outfit Everything, Everything and house DJ Hannah Wants, join the impressive line-up.
Speaking about the line-up for Sea Sessions 10th birthday, festival director Ray O’Donoghue said; “We like to think we always have a quality lineup but we really feel this year has a lot of strength in depth.
“From massive international names like Rudimental and Dizzee Rascal to really great Irish acts like Hudson Taylor and Ryan McMullan we think there’s something in it for everyone. The site capacity has been upped, the festival site has been extended, there’ll be usual Surf and Sports plus some great surprises like our brand new Astoria Stage named after the now demolished Astoria Ballroom.”
Over the last 10 years, Sea Sessions has welcomed the likes of Primal Scream, Kelis and Bastille to Bundoran. While offering great line-ups consistently for a decade, festival-goers can surf the Atlantic and take part in various beach sports.
Tickets have sold out well in advance three years running and with this line-up, that trend looks set to continue. Early bird tickets have already sold out for this year’s festival but the general sale is on now. Sea Sessions takes place from June 22nd to 24th.
