Snow Patrol announce details for new album Wildness
Snow Patrol have revealed the details of their new album Wildness, their first release in seven years.

The ‘Chasing Cars’ band last album Fallen Empires, was released in 2011 and was followed up with a world tour. When it concluded in 2012, each member decided to step back and work on their side projects.
The prolonged break saw frontman Gary Lightbody work with the likes of Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. While guitarist Nathan Connolly released an album and toured with his band Little Matador.
On their Instagram account, the band teased their return with pictures of them on set and location, filming. Since then the band have now revealed their seventh album, titled Wildness is set for release on May 25th.
Speaking about the new album, Lightbody said; “I think it’s the first record I’ve ever written that I haven’t just asked a bunch of questions. I actually tried to figure out why I was unhappy, why I feel out of place, why I’m afraid.
”There’s nothing really to protect myself for – it’s all in the album. I want to remember.” This impulse was partially inspired by Lightbody’s father, who is suffering from dementia. “I think the album is defined by memory in a lot of ways, including my father’s loss of memory.”
Snow Patrol’s frontman looks to be offering their fans a life-defining record as he seeks clarity on Wildness. The record also sees the band team up with long-time producer and friend Jacknife Lee, who’s produced their albums since 2003’s Final Straw album.
