The explosive rock band, Rage Against The Machine will be returning to Ireland to headline Electric Picnic. The band announced last night that they’re set to embark on a mammoth world tour, including a stop in Stradbally.
Rumours have been circulating for some time that a reunion was on the cards for the band but no one was giving any hints away. But where there’s smoke, there’s a fire, as they say.
The ‘Killing In The Name’ band last tour concluded in 2011 and it seemed that that was the last chance to catch them live. Although three of the members, Tom Morelo, Brad Wilk and Tim Commerford, formed part of Prophets of Rage and have performed all over, including Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival.

The time has come for Rage Against The Machine to reunite and unleash their furious mixture of rap and rock to shake up the establishment.
Joining them on their world tour are hip-hop duo, Run The Jewels. The tour poster appears to confirm that they’ll also be in the line-up for Electric Picnic, with only two dates listed that they won’t be performing on. JACKS previously caught the enigmatic pair during their energetic set at Austin City Limits in 2017.

Tickets are already sold-out for the 16th instalment of Electric Picnic. With the first two acts confirmed for EP, the countdown is well and truly on until the first wave of acts are unveiled.
