Plugging into the Music that Matters

The Vaccines close to completing 4th album

It’s been two years since the release of English Graffiti but the band gave an update on Radio X on when we can expect album number four.

The Vaccines are a busy band, they rarely keep us waiting for their next record all the while maintaining the high quality of music we get from the ‘If You Wanna‘ rockers.

They look set to keep up their track record as they spoke to Radio X today about the recent announcement that they’ll be heading to Oxford’s Truck Festival this July and the progress being made to get their fourth LP finished.

Guitarist, Freddie Cowan, had to say about their next album that “We’re just kind of finishing writing our fourth record. As we speak we’re in the studio.”

In 2015, The Vaccines released their third album, English Graffiti, which peaked at No.1 in the Official Vinyl Chart. Since then, the London quartet have toured heavily all over the world since the album came out but clearly they have no plans to take a break any time soon.

Recently added to Truck Festival’s 2oth anniversary line-up, along with The Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, Slaves and more. Cowan told Radio X that those in attendance from July 21st -23rd can expect to hear some new songs from what’ll be the ‘Dream Lover‘ bands’ fourth record since 2011.

Do you love indie as much as we do? Enjoy going to gigs at the Arts Club or catching a band play in the O2 Academy? Then you should join the team! JACKS are looking for writers and if the above sounds like you then click here and get in touch!
