New Irish festival Liverpool Feis, reveals line-up
Liverpool Feis, a new festival is coming to Liverpool’s Waterfront this summer showcasing the musical talents of Ireland.
The new festival will take over the Waterfront for one day this summer, with some of Ireland’s finest musicians set to perform. Catering for all music fans, Liverpool Feis will bring the likes of Imelda May, Damian Dempsey, The Coronas and more to the city.
Topping the bill is legendary singer Van Morrison, who’s contributions to music over the years earned the Northen Irishman a knighthood back in 2016. Also set to perform are Dublin Legends, better known as The Dubliners.
The diverse range of music on offer from folk and trad, to jazz and indie means that Liverpool Feis will expose all music fans to new experiences this July.
Liverpool Feis is a part of the 10 year anniversary celebrations of Liverpool winning the European Capital of Culture and it’s unique Irish heritage. With over 75% of the city’s population being of Irish descent, organiser Vince Power, spoke about bringing the festival to Liverpool; “I’m proud and delighted to bring The Feis to Liverpool, a great city with such strong ties to Ireland. I have always wanted to do an Irish music festival here.

Tickets are on sale now, with early bird tickets starting at £55, while children under 12 go for free. Liverpool Feis 2018 takes place on Saturday 7th July.
