Neighbourhood Weekender reveals mouthwatering line up

Neighbourhood Weekender is set to take over Warrington’s Victoria Park with a thrilling line-up.

On Monday night Radio X presenter Gordon Smart, revealed the first wave of acts set to appear at the Neighbourhood Weekender. The festival will take place over the bank holiday weekend this coming May on the 26th and 27th.

Smart announced that one of Manchester’s prodigal sons will headline, with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds closing the festival. Gallagher is about to release his third album with his High Flying Birds, with Who Built The Moon? set for release on November 24th.

Topping the bill on the Saturday will be The Courteeners, bringing their infectious sound to Warrington’s Victoria Park. The Manchester band played a set of sold out shows in the Old Trafford Cricket Ground and frontman Liam Fray, has just finished a solo acoustic tour.

Joining the headliners, Editors are back with what should be a taster of what to expect from what’ll be their sixth album. Jake Bugg, who’s headed for a sold out show at the Olympia later this month will also be appearing at the festival.

While it’s possible to expect new material from Editors when they make their appearance, Miles Kane is pencilled in for what could be a glimpse at what’s to come from the Last Shadow Puppets man.

We can expect local lads, Circa Waves to make another appearance after headlining Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester, earlier this year. Representing Liverpool emerging scene, up and comer Louis Berry, hailing from Kirby will perform on the Sunday.

The line up also features The Sherlocks, Wirral legends The Coral, Blossoms and more.

Tickets vary from £55.45 to £105.50 for general admission. Neighbourhood Weekender come to Warrington this May Bank Holiday weekend. There’ll be an exclusive pre-sale starting Thursday for those with a WA postcode.
