The Jackobins reveal UK tour and new single, ‘Outside’
The Jackobins are set to embark on a tour across the UK in support of their new single, ‘Outside‘.
On the back of signing with Zy Records, The Jackobins are gearing up to release their latest single ‘Outside‘. To celebrate the release, the Liverpool band are set to hit the road later this month. The tour includes two hometown shows, one hosted by This Feeling and sharing the spotlight with The Wholls at The Magnet, the other a headline gig in the Arts Club.
The tour is in support of the new single ‘Outside‘, which is due out on September 22nd and is the follow up to their summer anthem ‘Nightfire‘. The Jackobins again provide another song filled with uplifting melodies but this time with an electronic touch compared to their previous releases.
Frontman Dominic Bassnett, sings with an electronic layer over his vocals as he lays the facts on the table with his lyrics. Then when the song explodes on to the chorus his desire to be noticed and have his affections reciprocated becomes crystal clear. All the while the whirring hooks and hammering drums add a euphoric element to ‘Outside‘, making it another exciting addition to The Jackobins discography.
While ‘Nightfire‘ was all rise, ‘Outside‘ rises and falls, taking the listener on a rollercoaster ride through the well constructed track. As the song climaxes with Bassnett singing over and over “I’m on the outside, I wish you could see me“, the thought of this song being performed live is exciting.
The new single by The Jackobins ‘Outside’ is available to download or stream now. Listen to ‘Outside’ below.
The Jackobins play This Feeling Presents at The Magnet with The Wholls on September 28th and again in the Arts Club on November 18th.
