The Jackobins new single, ‘Nightfire’ is out now.

The Jackobins have been gaining a lot of attention both locally and across the rest of the UK too, with airplay from the likes of BBC Radio 6 and Radio X in the past and a flurry of big festival dates booked, they’re a band in high demand.

The local band recently played a sold-out show in The Magnet and are set to return home for a set at Sound City later this month and again in August at Hope & Glory Festival, giving plenty of opportunities to catch the exciting act live in action.

The new single, ‘Nightfire‘, is opened with spell-binding chimes, a smooth bass before frontman, Dominic Bassnett begins to sing with an intense edge in his lyrics. With searing guitars throughout and a nice rhythm guitar accompanying too, it’s a track that progresses nicely. The song has a good flow to it and it’s one of those where you can feel it’s going to reach a point where it’ll culminate with an explosion of sound, The Jackobins don’t disappoint.

The emotion in the song eventually swells up and spills into a mesmerising instrumental to draw to its end. With crashing cymbals and a slick guitar line, the well composed outro sees ‘Nightfire‘ reach a stunning end.

It’s a song that’s going to sound massive down on Clarence Docks at Sound City or in St. George’s Square during Hope & Glory in August.
