Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds returning with film and album

Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds are set to return in September with a live film and new album, the first new material from the band in three years.

Registered on Laemmle’s site simply as ‘Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’, we can expect a film from the band to hit cinemas on September 8th. It’ll be the first new material from the band since 2013

The site described the film as “first and foremost, a performance film of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds performing songs from their new album“. In fashionable style, the band have shot the project in black and white, colour and 3-D, creating various cinematic styles throughout the concert film. Fact report that the film will be “the first medium through which anyone anywhere will be able to hear & experience the songs” to create a new experience of hearing music for the first time.

The new album will then be released at midnight on September 9th, which will see no singles released according to sources. It’s the first material to be released from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds since 2013’s album ‘Push the Sky Away’.

Exciting times ahead for fans, hopefully a tour will follow from the release.
