All For One – The Stone Roses are back
It’s been 21 years since the Mancunian lads released new material, after the long, long wait, we finally have a new song from the band… ‘All For One‘.
The band are set to tour this summer and when they did back in 2012 it was a classic-laden set list. This time though we can get all the classics and now there’s going to be a mixture of new and old. The excitement is enthralling.

All For One is an instant classic, with Ian and co showing us that after all these years, they haven’t lost it. Sharply fading in, John Squire reels in the years with that classic sound oozing from his guitar, then Ian starts off with the headline suitable sing-along chorus, “All for one, one for all… If we all join hands we’ll make a wall…”
The highlight of this outstanding return has to be the fun sounds coming out of Squire’s guitar and how well it combines with the drums of Alan Wren. especially towards the back end of the song, when the two just take over with a cheery and vibrant instrumental before one more round of the chorus sees frontman Ian, close out the song.
We’ve wanted it for so long, they toured, the rumours had hopes raised but finally, The Stone Roses are back and ‘All For One‘ is hopefully just the beginning. The next question is, how long before the album comes out?…
Let’s hope sooner, rather than later.
