London indie-rockers Eliza and the Bear are back and venturing into unchartered territory with new single ‘Higher’.
Eliza and the Bear haven’t waited long since the release of their debut album last year as they return with new single, ‘Higher’. The band turned heads with their self-titled debut album, garnering comparisons to The Flaming Lips, Mumford & Sons and Arcade Fire.
However, as to not be labelled as a one-trick pony, Eliza and the Bear are back with a new sound. After working with the likes of Rita Ora and The Tide, the band have embraced the styles of the artists and it’s quite clear when listening ‘Higher’.
‘Higher’ is filled with fun vibes from the start that you’d think was a collaboration between Nile Rogers and Bruno Mars. The uplifting sound is enough to get any party started and while they may have changed their style, there’s still that warm feeling that Eliza and the Bear invoked so well on their self-titled album.
The video conveys the overall feeling of the song as the band perform on stage clearly having a good time, with shots in between of them in the recording studio. ‘Higher’ is yet another song that’ll have fans jumping up and down and dancing to when they next hit the road. It’s a lively return for Eliza and the Bear, who continue to turn heads and grow.
