The Wombats announce special homecoming gig

It’s been ten years since The Wombats debut album, A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation came out and the band are marking the occasion with a homecoming show.

The Wombats

They’re heading back to Liverpool where everything will seem the same but The Wombats have worked out that their first album is turning ten this year. See what we did there? We’ll show ourselves out…

It’s ten years since The Wombats gave us A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation and a few weeks ago, announced they’ll be putting on a show in Brixton this summer to celebrate. The trio hailing from Merseyside took to Facebook this morning to announce that they “thought it [was] only right that we celebrate our 1st album’s 10th birthday with a show in the place it all began…”

On June 29th, the band will be bringing the teenage angst of ‘Backfire At The Disco‘, ‘Kill The Director‘ and more from their debut album to Liverpool University.

The Wombats were last in Liverpool for last year’s Liverpool International Music Festival in Sefton Park, closing the festival last July with songs from their 2015 album Glitterbug and more from their discography.
