New Vampire Weekend album expected in 2017
It’s been two years since the indie favourites last album was released and after recent reports, album four could be on its way next year.
Vampire Weekend’s last album Modern Vampire Of The City, released in 2014 saw the band fulfil their contract with British based label XL. It now seems the New Yorkers are set to sign a new record deal with a division within Columbia.
The band’s been working on new material for the first time as a threesome, after Rostam Batmanglij left to work on a solo project earlier in the year.
According to an industry insider Hits Daily Double, the band are in the early stages of working on their fourth record and it’s expected out some time between April and September, with a tour to follow its release.

The band’s last effort, Modern Vampire Of The City went straight to number one in the charts both in the UK and the US, as did their second album Contra, released in 2010.
Last time Vampire Weekend performed live was earlier this year at a rally for US Presedential Candidate, Bernie Sanders but are expected to hit the road again later next year.
