Plugging into the Music that Matters

Kasabian unveil new track at homecoming gig

The Premier League season was a fairytale that saw Leicester City come out of nowhere to lift the league trophy against all odds, to celebrate, Kasabian played a sold-out gig at the King Power Stadium in honour of The Foxes triumph.

It still hasn’t settled in that one of the biggest shocks in football history actually happened. Leicester City: Premier League champions. The city is still celebrating the amazing triumph and rightly so.

A part of the celebrations has seen one of indie’s finest, Kasabian resurface to be a part of the special times and put on two gigs at the King Power Stadium.

The set was filled with all the classics and if tonight’s show wasn’t going to be exciting enough, the home town band have got Slaves warming up for them. But last night saw the band revel in the historic achievement the football club has gained and in the process, Kasabian unveiled a brand new track, called ‘Put Your Life On It’.

It’s not the usual lively stuff we hear from the Leicester lads as it has a softer touch in comparison to the likes of Vlad the Impaler, Club Foot or Shoot The Runner. It’s still a strong track from Kasabian, full of emotion and powerful enough to remind you that every now and again, they’re a band that can put out a song that doesn’t need to be full of wit, aggression or  humour.

Check out the debut of ‘Put Your Life On It’ Below.
