The Maccabees announce Latitude warm up show

Festival season is getting closer and almost all the major festivals have unveiled the bulk of their line ups, from Glastonbury to Reading & Leeds and T In The Park to Latitude.Headlining Latitude this year are The National, New Order and The Maccabees. The latter have just announced that in preparation for their headline set on the opening night in Suffolk, they’ll be doing two warm up gigs, one at Cardiff University and also here in the O2 Academy on July 14th, with tickets set to go on general sale this Thursday.

Last summer, The Maccabees released one of their best albums Marks To Prove It, featuring tracks like ‘Something Like Happiness‘, ‘WW1 Portraits‘ and title track ‘Marks To Prove It

If you’re not able to head down to Suffolk to catch their headlining set at Latitude then this is one show you don’t want to miss, with classics like ‘Precious Time‘, ‘Love You Better‘ and ‘Grew Up At Midnight‘ and then the brilliant stuff from their latest album too, they don’t have a reputation for putting on explosive live shows for no reason.
