The Quarter Block Party returns to Cork in February 2020 and organisers have revealed the first set of acts that’ll be playing across the weekend.
Starting on February 6th and ending on February 9th, the festival will get people exploring Cork City, with venues throughout hosting live music, theatre performances and art exhibitions.
Organisers took to social media on Wednesday to reveal the first 11 acts that’ll be playing:
Post Punk Podge, The Bonk, God Alone, Aoife Nessa Frances, Jar Jar Jr, Pretty Happy, Melts, Maija Sofia, Lemoncello, Soft Focus and Elaine Howley. That’s your lot for now.
With fifty events set to host over 100 acts between them during that weekend, it’s clear that there’s a lot more to come.
Speaking about the 2020 instalment of the Quarter Block Party, organiser, Caoilian Sherlock commented:
”We are delighted to bring the sixth edition of Quarter Block Party to Cork this February. We are very proud to showcase some of the best musical talent that this country has to offer in what can only be described as a golden age for our artists and musicians.
”In the coming weeks, we will be further presenting a huge lineup of music, dance, theatre, and performing arts as well as discussions and events which focus on activism and urbanism in Cork and around Ireland.”
