Benicassim Festival unveil final headliner

One of Europe’s elite festivals FIB Benicassim, celebrate their 25th birthday this year. Yesterday, the Spanish festival revealed their final headline act.

Over the last 25 years, FIB Benicassim Festival has been one of the best festivals across Europe. Celebrating their quarter-century milestone, the festival has now revealed it’s final headliner.

The first headliners unveiled were Lana Del Rey, Kings of Leon and Fatboy Slim. Joining the heavyweight names are a band that played a part in shaping the Spanish music scene, Vetusta Morla.

Vetusta Morla will be celebrating Benicassim’s 25th birthday with a special performance of their first album, Un Día En El Mundo.

If you’re in Spain and looking at other festivals, Benicassim is your only festival where you can catch Lana Del Rey and Kings of Leon this festival season.

The line-up for the big birthday bash so far includes The 1975, Franz Ferdinand, George Ezra, Blossoms, Gerry Cinnamon, You Me At Six and more. Festival organisers announced their ‘Midnight by FIB’ DJ series for the week building up to the festival.

Midnight by FIB will see Blur’s Dave Rowntree, Carl Barât and Idles all perform DJ sets in the four days before the festival kicks off.

Benicassim also marks the return of The Big Moon, who have been working on the follow up to their 2017 debut Love in the 4th Dimension. Kodaline, Sea Girls and Gorgon City are also all on the bill so far.

Festival organisers have teased that there is still so much more to come as the countdown to July continues.
